Carmen Sandiego: Season 2 Netflix Review
Carmen Sandiego is a 2019 Netflix Original series based on the educational computer game “Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?” created by Lauren Elliot in 1985 and the associated franchise. The series is produced by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt with DHX Media serving as the production company. The first season was released on January 18, 2019, and the good news for the viewers is Carmen Isabella Sandiego (our lady Robin Hood) is ready to join Netflix again with season 2 on October 1, 2019.
A post on the animated series’ official Twitter account earlier this week confirmed the world’s greatest thief would return for more international adventures at a future date as the red fedora-wearing burglar continues to target global treasures as a professional thief. It should be noted that when Netflix first ordered the series on April 2017, the streaming service ordered 20 episodes. With only nine episodes in the first season, the second season will likely include the remaining eleven episodes in the initial production order.
There haven’t been any official announcements about the season two cast, but we would expect returns for all of the big players, which includes Gina Rodriguez as Carmen and Finn Wolfhard as Player, her computer hacker “eye in the sky”. Joining them are Liam O’Brien, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, and more as the “teachers” of V.I.L.E. Academy and the evil organization. A big storyline in season 1 was the friendship / sibling-type relationship between Carmen and Graham (Michael Goldsmith). There is no new trailer for season 2 of Carmen Sandiego. We will update this article with the new promo. In the meantime, season one can now be watched on Netflix.
