Lobby Baby is a Netflix stand-up comedy starring Seth Meyers who is most famous for the hit American show, ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’, he also hosted the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2014 and 75th Golden Globe Awards in 2018. Indeed, the standup announcement is portrayed as an action figure commercial that points out the differences between “Desk Seth” and “Standup Seth,” while a group of children criticizes said action figure. It’s very funny. Popular TV host Seth Meyers’ stand-up comedy special for Netflix will premiere on November 5.
Here is the official description of his stand-up special, “Late Night host, Seth Meyers, steps out from behind his desk and onto the stage at the Pantages Theater in Minneapolis to explain to his fans that you can love a lobby baby as much as a hospital baby… in time. In his Netflix comedy-special debut, Seth Meyers: Lobby Baby, Meyers touches upon family, fatherhood, and why you should never take your girlfriend to Paris for her birthday.”
The title no doubt refers to the 2018 birth of Meyers’ son Axel, who was born to the comic and wife Alexi in the lobby of their Manhattan co-op as the couple was about to take an Uber to the hospital. Meyers tweeted, “Here is a true thing I am excited about – I have a @Netflix special premiering November 5th. Please enjoy this promotional video in which the children are better actors than I am.”
Netflix has released a trailer on October 23 along with a short description, “Hey, kids!!! Tired of your old boring action figures?!?! Then you need to try the all-new standup Seth!!!!! SNL alumnus and subversive master of late-night TV Seth Meyers comes out from behind the desk to share some light-hearted stories from his own life.”
